Mrs. Christina Greggs
School Based Therapist
Mrs. Christina Greggs is the new School Based Counselor for Lakeview School District. She is with MHY Family Services and is here to provide individual counseling services, on a weekly basis, for referred students attending either Oakview or Lakeview grade levels.
Although not an alumnus of Lakeview School District, many generations of her family graduated from Lakeview High School: her husband, Charles Greggs (Class of 1986); their daughter, Zoe Greggs (Class of 2021); her father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Sheree Greggs (Classes of 1966 and 1967) and brother-in-law, T.J Greggs (Class of 1991).
Her background includes earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Slippery Rock University and going on to obtain her License of Professional Counseling (LPC) as well as being a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her professional experience in the counseling field spans 20 years and includes working with school age youth developing healthy coping techniques. She also works with youth on the unique challenges today’s students face: social media, cyber bullying, adjustment with coming back to school post COVID quarantine and navigating relationships.
Before earning her graduate degree, she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art degree from Westminster College in 1999.
She is looking forward to working with the students of Lakeview School District as they move through the 2024/2025 school year.
Ms. Samantha Roa
MHY Behavior Specialist
Ms. Samantha Roa grew up in a small town in the Poconos called Milford, PA. She moved to State College after high school to attend Penn State University, where she received a B.S. in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. Following college, Sam moved to Pittsburgh to work as an intern with the United States Department of Probation and Pretrial Services. After eight months as an intern, she moved to Grove City, PA and began work as a TSS (currently known as a BHT). Sam worked in a direct care setting with students exhibiting behavioral concerns. After two years as a TSS, she obtained her master's degree in Special Education with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders from Slippery Rock University and became a Licensed Behavioral Consultant with the PA Board of Medicine. She has consulted with schools and with parents to assess and create treatment plans to help address behavioral concerns across all settings. In April 2020, Sam and her husband welcomed their now two-year-old son. In June 2022, Sam began working as a Mental Health Professional to teach social skills to a group of students in the summers and after school. This is where she found her passion for helping students learn SEL concepts. Recently, Sam completed a certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis through Slippery Rock University. Sam is looking forward to continuing to build upon this experience by supporting students in the Lakeview School District.
