Mrs. Becki Williams
District Gifted Teacher
I am honored to introduce myself as teacher for the Gifted Program at Lakeview School District. As a proud 1992 graduate of Lakeview High School and a 1996 graduate of Clarion University with degrees in Elementary and Special Education, this opportunity feels like a very special full-circle moment in my career and personal journey.
Over the past 28 years, I have had the privilege of teaching in various roles across the district, including high school learning support, and second, third, and fourth grades. Most recently, I spent the past eight years teaching sixth grade. Each of these experiences has shaped my approach as an educator, and I bring with me a deep commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have also had the pleasure of serving in numerous extracurricular roles at Lakeview. I have coached basketball and cheerleading, and most recently served as the producer of the high school theatre department. I’ve also supported students as an after-school tutor and as a coach for the Girls on the Run program. These roles have given me the opportunity to connect with students outside the traditional classroom setting and witness their growth in a variety of contexts.
On the home front, I have been married to my husband, Jay, for 29 years, and we are the proud parents of four adult children. Our oldest son, Brandon, recently graduated from LECOM Medical School and has begun his residency in Family Medicine at Meadville Medical Center. Our daughter, Danielle, is currently a third-year medical student at LECOM and is rotating at St. Vincent in Erie. Carter, our third child, is a senior software engineering major at Auburn University and recently completed an internship with JB Hunt in Fayetteville, AR. Our youngest, Ethan, just graduated from Lakeview and has joined his brother at Auburn as a business analytics major.
I am excited about the new challenge this position presents and look forward to supporting our gifted learners as they grow beyond the regular classroom curriculum. I am committed to building on the strong foundation already in place, while also exploring new ways to inspire and stretch the minds of our gifted learners.
