First LEGO League
Lakeview students have participated in this competition to learn programming, design, research and presentation skills for over a decade. Students compete in the First LEGO League Tournament Northwest Pennsylvania Championship which is held on the Penn State Behrend Campus.
This year, the theme for FLL's robotic competition is Unearthed. In the UNEARTHED challenge, FIRST® LEGO® League teams will uncover the past to discover the future. Students will be challenged to create a solution to a problem that archaeologists face. Our team visited an archaeological dig site at Meadowcroft in Avella, PA, consulted with multiple archaeologists, and an expert in the field of lasers to create a presentation that will be judged. Additionally students will be designing and building a robot and
programming the bot to complete missions. This year's competition will be held on Saturday, February 7.

We are so excited to share that our Robotics team had a strong showing at the Regional Competition on February 7 at PSU Behrend Campus. They were awarded 2nd Place for Robot Design and were given a bid for the State Competition. The team rose to the occasion at the PA State Meet held in Hershey on February 14. They were awarded the special Judges' Award! We can't wait until next season!
