    Music Teacher Vacancy

    The Lakeview School District is accepting applications for a Vocal/General Music Teacher – Grades 6-12. This position will begin early January 2024.  The applicant must be certified in Music Education K-12 and be an energetic and engaging choral music professional.  The individual will collaborate with the instrumental and drama department to provide authentic performance opportunities for students.  The applicant must have strong classroom management skills and possess effective oral/written communication and technology skills.  Applicants must demonstrate solid keyboard skills- solo and /or accompanying. Interested candidates should submit the following materials:  Letter of interest, PA Standard Application, current resume with 3 references, copy of transcripts including Praxis scores, and a copy of a valid PA teaching certificate (unless pending).  Acts 24, 34, 114,151 and 168 clearances are required.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

    District Personal Care Aides/Paraprofessionals and Substitutes (Immediate Openings)
    The position will provide one on one medical and academic support to an assigned student.     Part-Time Athletic Trainer
    The Lakeview School District is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer to support the District.
    Athletic Trainer must be licensed to practice in the state of PA, National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA)
    certification/State Licensure, CPR/AED/First Aid certification and the following other qualifications:

    • Ability to lift students using biomedical techniques throughout the course of a work day;
      must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone
    • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day
    • Provide athletic training coverage and injury treatment during practices and games
    • Provide injury assessment, treatment, and preventative measures before sports practices during after-school hours
    • Provide acute injury assessment and treatment of both home and visiting team athletes
    • Determine proper referrals to other medical professionals as needed: EMTs, orthopedic or primary care physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists In coordination with the school nurse and other
      medical professionals, devise individual injury management and rehabilitation plans as needed for each athlete, and determine the appropriate return to play
    • Conduct and maintain concussion testing and protocol process
    • Provide current information about appropriate preventative and management measures
      for athletic injuries to coaches, athletes, and families
    • Assist in inventory storage, distribution, and maintenance of athletic training supplies
    • Ensure proper emergency equipment is available at all games and practices – including
      stand-by ambulances and security
    • Assist with preparation and maintenance of the athletic facilities
    • Includes some weekend and holiday coverage, as well as traveling to games

    Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology or a health related field is required.  Please send
