Dr. Michelle Young MSHS Principal

Dr. Young comes to the Middle-High School principal position with over 10 years of administrative experience. Most recently, she served as the High School Principal of the Commodore Perry School District. Prior to that position, Dr. Young served as the elementary principal for the Commodore Perry School District for nine years. 
Prior to entering administration, Dr. Young served as an English teacher for seven years. She began her teaching career at Maplewood High School in the Penncrest School District. Dr. Young also taught English at Cambridge Springs Area High School, which is also within the Penncrest School District, and Commodore Perry High School. Additionally, she was the junior class advisor, prom advisor, and also helped to coordinate the Sophomore Retreat for many years.
Dr. Young earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from John Carroll University, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Professional Certificate in Administration from Gannon University. Subsequently, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University. She also possesses a Commision Qualification Letter for the position of Superintendent in a PK-12 setting.
Personally, Dr. Young is a mother to two children, Madison and Gavin, who keep her busy with their extracurricular activities and athletic endeavors. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking, kayaking, and sunshine!
Dr. Young is honored to be a member of the Lakeview community. She is looking forward to getting to know the students, staff, and community members. She has a passion for working with students and helping them to grow into the best version of themselves.

Mr. Curt Ace MSHS Assistant Principal

Mr. Ace is a graduate of Franklin High School. He attended Edinboro University of PA, earning a
Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Special Education, a Master’s of Arts Degree in Secondary
Guidance Counseling, and K-12 Principal Certification. He also earned Supervisor of Special
Education Certification through Slippery Rock University of PA.
Prior to becoming the Assistant Principal at Lakeview Middle-High School, Mr. Ace worked as a
Special Education Teacher at Vision Quest, Clarion Psychiatric Center, and Conneaut Lake High
School for a total of 9 years. He then worked as a Guidance Counselor at Commodore Perry
High School for 16 years. He also served in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years. He is
focused on promoting self-advocacy and self-determination in young people and enjoys
problem-solving and working collaboratively in helping all students succeed.
Mr. Ace is happily married to his wife, Stephanie. They are both proud parents of two grown
children, Brendan and Kaylee. Mr. Ace enjoys the outdoors and working on his 10-acre
property in the country.

Mrs. Paula Clayton -Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Paula Clayton is a 1991 Lakeview alumni.  Following graduation she attended the Mercer County Career Center receiving a certificate in their Executive Secretary Program.  Mrs. Clayton was employed at Werner Company until she moved to San Diego, California to be with her husband, Shawn (LHS - 1989), while he was serving in the US Navy.  After their return to Sandy Lake she stayed home to raise their boys, Landon (2012), Evan (2013) and Owen (2017), returning to work in 2003 at the Penn State Extension - Mercer County office where she was employed for 14 years.

Mrs. Clayton began at Lakeview in September 2017 as the District Office Receptionist until September 2019 when she began as Administrative Assistant to Mrs. Julie Lyon, Assistant to the Superintendent.  In July 2021, she transitioned to Administrative Assistant in the Middle/High School Guidance Office. She has now transitioned into the HSMS office as Administrative Assistant.
